The Pit - The Legacy is back again with its tenth volume, after three year break due to the Pandemic.

The very idea of The Pit came up in 2009 when the Kolkata metal circuit was in its nascent stage and the bands like In Human, Chronic Xorn, Yonsample, DIOTB and other people who loved the genre came together to form a metal community where people would pour in to dive into the spirit of music. It was a time when restaurants and bars never allowed metal bands to perform live and gigs didn't take place as frequently as it happens now. The Pit started as a self sponsored event and the first five volumes took place in Tapan Theatre, the first three volumes being free gigs. People came together in huge numbers to support the artists and the genre as a whole. The theatre was bursting at the seams with a crowd of more than 400 metallers from the city and outside headbanging to their fullest amidst the gothic dimly lit non air-conditioned theatre hall which usually staged plays and other cultural events. Modern Metal Outfit from India with Tech Death elements - Ksetravid with their new releases

  Ksetravid is a Modern Metal/Tech Death band based in Bangalore, India.  With Siddhant Sarkar on vocals, Pritam Middey on guitars, Arunav Bhattacharjee on bass and Nikhil Rajkumar on drums. They released the official lyric video of their debut original composition named "Man Made Crisis" via the famous record label "The Circle Pit" on 16th July, last year, which gained over 7.2K views on You Tube. The song speaks of the negative effects of some beliefs and values that society tends to institutionalize and highlights the darknesses of human existence.    The official music video of their second single, named, "Static Belief System" was released on Ksetravid's You Tube channel on 15th July, this year. New Album by well known Death-Metal Band 'Atmahatya'

Aandhar er Doshti Bochor (10 Years of Darkness) " A tmahatya ", a well-known death-metal band from the Kolkata metal scene, recently released their debut album which is named "Aandhar er Doshti Bochor" on 26th June, this year. The songs, written in both English and Bengali, talk about philosophy of life and death, existence and decay, the socio-political scenario, the independence struggle and the battles that were fought in the annals of history, striking a close parallel with human suffering, in general, and the battles we fight everyday, the pains of day to day life and coping mechanisms. With proper use of literary devices, a great sense of vocabulary and an emphasis on the universal truths, the whole album is a beautifully crafted piece. Each of the musicians have put in outstanding efforts which have resulted in the creation of this incredibly amazing project, which throws significant light on the darknesses and hardships of human existence.
