The music fest has been ruling hearts for hundreds of people for eleven long years and still counting. The coming year, that is on 11th and 12th of February, 2023, the Mahindra Blues Festival is back again to celebrate the genre with pomp and show.
The lineup includes Buddy Guy (a recipent of eight Grammy Awards, 38 Blues Music Awards, The Billboard Magazine Century Award, 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, Kennedy Center Honour and Presidential National Medal of Arts and has a major influence on the rock giants like Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Voughan) , Taj Mahal ( a recipent of three Grammy Awards, fourteen Grammy nominations, Blues Hall Of Fame membership, a Lifetime Achievement Award and many more accolades), Christone Kingfish (a twenty-three year old exponent of blues music who has headlined three United States tours, performed at Europe,UK and Hyde Park, London stolen hearts at Australia's Largest Music Festival and received the Grammy Award in 2021), Ivan Singh ( a twenty-nine year old Indian guitarist and singer who lived in Argentina, later shifted to Chicago and is considered to be one of the Greatest Blues Guitarists) and Arinjoy Sarkar (winner of the Mahindra Blues Band Hunt, 2018, runs the Arinjoy Trio project, a band where he is the guitarist himself, with Sounak Roy on drums and Aakash Ganguly on Bass and plays blues music from both old school to contemporary).
